Peach and red wine sangria


Sunshine, a backyard, and friends are all the ingredients you need to make for a lovely summer afternoon. Want to take it to the next level? Add our peach and red wine sangria, then sit savour the sunshine and laughter.



Serves 6 - 8

1 bottle (750mL) dry red wine like Rioja

1 peach

1 apple

1 orange

1 lemon

2 limes

1/2 cup         cognac

1/8 cup         superfine granulated sugar

2 to 3 cups   tonic water, chilled



In a pitcher, mix the wine, cognac, and sugar. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.

Cut the peach, apple, orange, lemon and limes into thin slices or wedges. Do not peel fruit. Add the sliced fruit to the pitcher and mix. Muddling it slightly helps to get the natural flavor out of fruits. 

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate overnight. The longer it sits, more delicious and sweeter it gets!

Just before serving, top off the sangria with chilled tonic water. Taste and add more if desired. Scoop a few pieces of fruit into each glass.
